Makeup Courses: Models Provided – We provide models with all types of skin tones, enabling our students to have an understanding and learn to work with Global Skin Tones and Types from all Backgrounds. Working with models further increases learning and practical hours on courses instead of being a model for someone else on the course taking up valuable time from the course.

Small Class Groups – Maximum of 6 students on all courses except Retail Makeup Artist with a maximum of 10 students.

1 to 1 Personalised Class Options– Most courses are also available as a 1 to 1 personalised course, with direct 1 to 1 attention with your tutor. Choose this option if you would like to maximise the time you have in class, learning and practising with just you, your model and your tutor. 1 to 1 personalised course follows the same learning & development plans as the regular classes.

Award-Winning Makeup Training – Seventa Makeup Academy is the winner of the London Hair & Beauty Award for ‘Makeup Training Academy of the Year’ in 2018 and winner of the ‘Highly Commended Award’ in 2019.

High-Quality Teaching Standards – All Seventa Makeup Academy teachers have many years of experience within the relevant courses they teach at the academy and are all 100% active and working directly within the industry today.

Makeup Courses: All Makeup and Kit Supplied – At Seventa Makeup Academy all products are provided for the student to use during their course in class, only professional brands are used. These products have exceptional quality, are hypo-allergenic to avoid or minimise any allergic reactions, and are long-lasting, respectful and caring for the skin.

SFX Courses: Professional SFX Kit & Tools Included – At Seventa Makeup Academy all products and tools you will need for the course are provided in a kit we have developed for you to use during your course. You also get to keep the kit and tools, so you can continue to practice when your course has ended. Only professional brands are used.

Makeup Courses: Added Value Benefits on All Courses – All courses come with added value benefits such as the Beginners Professional Makeup Artist Course comes with a Professional Makeup Artist Brush Set valued at over £350 included or other courses offer up to £300 in Kit Building Vouchers to get students started filling their kits with the necessary elements to practice and work within the industry.

Personalised Education & Progression Plans – All students have the opportunity to create a Personalised Education & Progression Plan with our team of Student Development Advisors (SDA’s)

Course Aftercare and Work Experience – After completing your course at Seventa Makeup Academy we will invite you to gain Work Experience working alongside Professional Makeup Artists on events and jobs provided through Seventa Image Creatives Agency. The program is a perfect way to gain valuable experience with leading professionals in the industry through educational workshops, information from their extensive online library, plus both volunteer and paid work opportunities, not just locally but globally.

Centrally located in London – Seventa Makeup Academy is located in Chalk Farm, London.

We offer a few different ways to pay for your course investment.

Options include:

Course Investment – 100% payment at the time of booking: Purchase and pay 100% of the course fee in 1 payment.

Course Investment – The 20/80 Plan: Pay a 20% deposit and then pay the 80% balance 4 weeks before your scheduled course date. This enables you to reserve a course date by paying a 20% deposit and the balance 4 weeks before your chosen course start date.

Instalment Plan: Similar to the 20/80 Plan, you pay a 20% deposit and set up a payment plan for the remaining 80% balance, where you will make regular (weekly or monthly) payments until the balance has been paid and your course date can be scheduled based on when your payment plan is settled.

Our cancellation policy applies to all courses, services, masterclasses, classes and sessions. Once paid your course enrolment or registration will be confirmed and no refunds can be issued. A change of dates may be requested by you with 4 weeks (Professional Courses) / 7 Days (Consumer Masterclasses) or more notice.

For courses where only a deposit (20% of the course fee) has been paid and you cancel (not change dates), the deposit is forfeited and is non-refundable. Course dates that are less than 4 weeks away require 100% payment at the time of booking.

Placement on courses, services, masterclasses, classes and sessions is subject to availability and we have the right to cancel or make changes to course dates without notice.

Most courses (refer to individual course pages) require a minimum of 2 students to be enrolled or the course may be rescheduled. Alternatively, students have the option to upgrade their course to a 1 to 1 Personalised Course (where available), with direct 1 to 1 attention with the tutor to proceed with the scheduled course dates.

All Professional Makeup Artistry Courses at Seventa Makeup Academy are in small groups. We want you to get the full experience and attention you need to excel in our courses, so we keep things small and intimate.

Our our small group courses the tutor-to-student ratio is 1:4; meaning a maximum of 4 students per tutor on courses. Exceptions apply to some courses, eg. Retail Makeup Artist with a tutor-to-student ratio of 1:10 (maximum of 10 students).

Most small group courses run with a maximum of 4 students at any one time, however, this is subject to change depending on the type of course, its length and the level of direct tutor/teacher interaction required.

We are 1-2-1 Personalised Training Specialists

All courses are available as personalised 1-on-1 sessions, maximising your learning experience.

Courses that are available as Small Group Sessions require a minimum of 2 students to be enrolled.

If the minimum number of students have not enrolled for the scheduled course dates, the course may be rescheduled.

Alternatively, students always have the option to upgrade their course to personalised 1-on-1 sessions to proceed with the scheduled course dates they have enrolled for.

Makeup Course Waitlist for Small Group Sessions

We require a minimum of two participants for courses that offer small group sessions before the course can proceed. If you’re interested in enrolling in a small group session of your chosen course, you can join our waitlist which starts the matching process to match your availability with the availability of others who wish to enrol in the same course.

Steps to Enrol and Join the Waitlist:

1. Tell your SDA (Student Development Advisor) that you wish to enrol in a Small Group Session for your chosen course.

2. The SDA will arrange the enrolment request and will request your course investment to be paid, either by paying the minimum 20% deposit or the full 100% course investment amount.

3. The SDA will request a set of dates from you based on your preferred availability. The preferred dates you provide do not need to be consecutive and can be designed to fit in with your usual day-to-day requirements.

4. The SDA will record these dates and begin the matching process to see if there is already a student on the waitlist that matches the same dates you have provided.

5. If a match is found, you and the other matching students will be processed for enrolment on the chosen dates. Depending on how far in advance the dates are, they will also be advertised as available dates on our website for others to join.

6. If no direct match is found, students who are already on the waitlist will be offered to join dates that have been requested by others.

7. Once the preferred dates are confirmed by all participants, they’re set and cannot be changed.

8. We will request the balance of your course investment to be paid to secure your place in the course. This will be 4 weeks before the course start date or if the course is due to start in less than 4 weeks, immediate payment of the full course investment or balance will be required.

9. Once the balance of your course investment has been received you will be sent your Student Enrolment Letter that contains all the details of your course, including dates, times, location, and anything else you will need to know to prepare for your course.

10. We will see you in class

A Live Remote Learning Course ie. outside the classroom (LIVE at home) means students do not attend the course at the academy but attend via a series of live video meetings. Please note: Sessions are LIVE and not pre-recorded.

We currently offer our SFX Makeup Artist Courses via Live Remote Learning (LIVE online). Students attend via a series of live video meetings with the Tutor and work with a Pro SFX Makeup Kit that we provide and send to students before the course commencement date.

Pro SFX Makeup Kit is included with student course fees and comes with free delivery within the U.K.

Unfortunately, due to restrictions with international delivery, customs and duty restrictions, the Pro SFX Makeup Kit is not included in the course for International Students (enrolling outside the U.K.) and as such students will need to purchase a kit based on our recommendations and our team will assist you in researching and finding where to obtain your required kit contents.

The courses currently available via Live Remote Learning are:

SFX Makeup Courses

We have worked very closely with our Department Heads to develop and present Live Remote Learning for courses that do not necessarily require face to face contact.

These courses will still be available for students that wish to attend the academy studios as normal but will also be offered outside the classroom (at home) as a Live Remote Learning Course, presented via a series of live video meetings working with your Tutor and SFX makeup kit, that we will provide and send to you before your course commencement date.

Current and Future students will both be able to have access to this new format learning on courses where it is available.

On most Professional Makeup Courses available at Seventa Makeup Academy we will provide you with models to work on throughout your course. Check the individual course page to see if Models are provided on your chosen course.

We provide models with all types of skin tones, enabling our students to have an understanding and learn to work with Global Skin Tones and Types from all backgrounds.

We believe that working with models will further increase your learning and practical hours on courses instead of you being a model for someone else in the course taking up valuable time from the course.

The reason for this is usually to line up course dates with a tutor’s availability. We believe that our tutors should be regularly working in the field that they are teaching. So sometimes, this means if a tutor is needed on set or needs dates reserved for jobs in the field we need to allocate course dates around the schedules of our working tutors. After all, isn’t it great that you are going to be learning from someone who is still 100% active in the business, We think so!

The dates listed are provided for guidance and are subject to change. You will have the option of choosing and securing suitable course dates once your enrollment application and course investment fees have been paid.

Please note all course dates are subject to availability and subject to change without notice.

If you can’t find a suitable proposed course date prior to enrolling, let us know using the form on the course page and a member of our team will help you find a suitable date.

When you enrol on a course with us, you will be provided with the session times for your classes, eg. 11:00 – 18:00. This example covers a period of 7 hours which would include breaks taken during a session.

However, there are times your course session may end earlier than stated.

Course session times are calculated based on the needs of a group of up to 6 people in a session. Every course has a learning plan (sometimes called a Scheme of Work) that the tutor follows to ensure all course components/content is covered in a session.

Some of the reasons the course session may end early are:

  • Your sessions are on a 1-to-1 basis, meaning there are no other students whom the tutor needs to monitor, assist or demonstrate for.
  • You learn at a faster pace and require less time to complete the project/task in the session.

Completing the pre-enrolment questionnaire helps us to advise you which course or courses are best suited to you, and which ones will get you on the path to being a makeup artist in the area of the industry that you are most interested in.

Once we have received and reviewed the details you have provided you will be connected with a Student Development Advisor who will discuss the different options available with you and start creating a Personalised Education & Progression Plan that will be tailored to you and your needs.

The Student Development Advisor will also provide you with more information about what next steps are required to complete your enrolment and secure your place on an upcoming course. This is followed by choosing dates from the course schedules.

On most Professional Makeup Courses available at Seventa Makeup Academy we will provide you with models to work on throughout your course. Check the individual course page to see if Models are provided on your chosen course.

Currently, we have no restrictions for international students enrolling on our courses, our courses are considered to be short courses and are usually no more than 1 week in duration for each individual course and can usually be completed on a visitors visa (if any type of visa is required).

You should, however, check that you do not require a Student Visa as this is your responsibility. The courses you have chosen may not require a student visa as they are short courses and therefore you may be able to do our courses in the United Kingdom with a visitors visa.

If you are considering multiple courses or a packaged Career Path Course you can confirm the length of the courses and the total amount of time required with our Student Development Advisor Team or Enrolment Team to help you decide if you will require a Student Visa or a Visitor Visa.

Please Note: Seventa Makeup Academy does not provide a visa service, you are responsible for your own visa application and documentation required. More Information on Visas, Requirements and How to Apply can be viewed here: https://www.gov.uk/study-visit-visa

You will need to allow enough time for your visa application so please read the information carefully to ensure you apply correctly as we can not be held responsible for errors or delays with your application.

If you do require a student visa to be able to complete our courses we can assist you by providing a letter of enrolment that includes your course dates, times, location, etc plus an invoice of the payment for your course or courses.

To get your letter of enrolment and invoice

  1. Complete the Enrolment Process with a Student Development Advisor or the Enrolments Team
  2. Once your Enrolment has been accepted by us we will request you pay 100% of your Course Investment Fees plus a £200 Visa Enrolment Letter fee for the letter to be issued.
  3. If you are not granted a visa enabling you to complete the courses you are enrolling for, we will refund your course fees, however, the £200 Visa Enrolment Letter Fee is non-refundable.

We are not an approved college or training provider for this type of funding, we are a private training academy, so you would not be able to use an advanced learner loan for our courses.

All fees payable and any additional expenses that may be required throughout the course are mentioned on course description pages on our website and no additional fees or expense are required to be paid.
